Setup, Repair & Rehairs

A instrument setup typically consists of:
Cleaning and polishing, new pegs, top nut, shooting and reprofiling fingerboard, handcut bridge individually made for the instrument, sound post, good set of strings, modern tailpiece, tailgut and fine tuner. Please contact us for further information.

Bow rehairs, using top quality Mongolian horse-hair, are £35.00 for violin bows and £40.00 for cello bows.

A same day service is often available by arrangement. Please contact us for further information.

 

Violin Bows

We have a range of good quality student bows. Sticks are Pernambuco or Brazilwood and mounted in nickel or silver. Makers include Erich Steiner, Knoll, G.Werner, W.Seifert, Arcos Brazil, Lefin, Finkel. Prices from £150.00.

We also sell the full range of Water Violet bows subject to availability. Prices on application.
